Although Red Wines garner the bulk of accolades while commanding a leading position in the highest price brackets, white wines have not been treated with indifference and disinterest. Quite to the contrary, consumption of white wine and rose actually exceeds the reds counterpart.

Not every wine drinker knows that wines – made from grape juice – start life as white juice. Contact with skins give the wine color. Remove that from the process and you get white wine. One can argue that white wines are more elegant and render purer flavors than the red. But comparing apples with oranges rarely reveal anything meaningful. Wine drinkers are therefore to appreciate them with an open mind and a fresh perspective.
